think again

and i thought planning a wedding was exhausting...

...how about trying to decide what outfits to wear for engagement pictures

that TWO can agree on.

{note to self: be a less difficult girl this week.}

here's a story...

it goes a little something like this...

once upon a time, there was a boy named Cody. he was awfully charming; not to mention smart, kind, fun and ridiculously good looking. he grew up in mesa but belonged to a town called gilbert where he worked for the most awesome software company and went to school full time.

then, there was a girl named Caitlin. she was pretty awesome and had been known to be an all around good time. interestingly enough, she also grew up in mesa but belonged to the same town called gilbert where she went to school full time and didn't do much else it seemed.

until one day at church she saw a boy up at the pulpit who was so handsome she could have died. from the moment she laid eyes on the boy whom she would later find was named Cody, she told herself she must have him.

after much convincing, the boy asked the girl on a date where they ate kung pao chicken and raced go-karts. the girl was smitten. the boy was less than interested....at least for a little while.

eventually, and after hours and hours of talking, the boy and girl became the best of friends and were inseparable.

they went to hawaii and had no choice but to fall in love (even though the girl already had).

fast forward almost 3 years later after much dating and much being apart, yadda yadda yadda...

boy and girl decided they don't want to be without each other any longer!!

then all of a sudden, BAM!! boy and girl are engaged!!! BOOM baby!!

not only did boy propose by taking girl on a most magical picnic (which didn't go all according as planned because the girl was hungry and impatient), on the most spectacular first day of spring (aka the persian new year), but the boy spoiled his girl with a gorgeous ring that she loves so much!

first, there were diamonds. (actually, lunch was first but we'll just skip to the good part.)

then, there was ice cream.

and of course, there was martinelli's.

then there were pictures to capture this momentous occasion.

and what would an engagement be without kisses?!

after enjoying a most perfect picnic in the beautiful sun for 2 hours, the boy and girl could not be happier and are so looking forward to being sealed for time and all eternity on

MAY 22, 2010!!!!

later on, Heavenly Father blessed the boy and girl's engagement day with a gorgeous sunset that was a perfect ending to a perfect day!!

lately i've needed to make better eating choices anyways.

all i wanted was a nice hamburger meal.

but no.

instead, after a hamburger meal it is visiting me again via up top

at 2:17 am.

{and every hour following until 7 am. blah!}

so long sabbath...i'll be in bed with the aches and quakes.

my whitney and my chase got married today!!

i was lucky enough to see whit this morning before they were sealed

{only because she is amazing and asked me to do her hair for the wedding}

and then of course i played stylist with a mid-day touch up

that included re-curling whit's hair and applying some lovely lashes.

oh how i love the woody's.

happy happy day!

so i always remember...

...i saw mary poppins.

and so i don't forget that the asu gammage theatre people

don't like when you take pictures...

and so i don't forget how much i loved mary poppins herself.

{and want to be her for halloween}

and so i don't forget how good bert was.

oh how i love bert.

and so i always remember how B offered to buy me anything i wanted

from the souvenir stand.

and how i said i didn't want anything...

until {it was too late and} i saw the little girl in front of me with a parrot umbrella.

this is my happy face that it is march.

which brings spring time.

which leads to summertime.

and then leads back to fall...time.

but for now i'm happy that these ol' bones of mine will get a chance to thaw out.
